I love America and my favorite thing about it is how diverse it is!!!! Who doesn't love variety?

To me the best thing about life in America is the sense of community. From the small towns that only have 100 people to the big cities where there are hundreds of people per block, when something happens we know that we can count on our community to help out. War, natural disasters, and pandemics have not kept us down, we will band together and move forward.

One of my favorite things about living in America is freedom. In this country we have freedoms that others would die for (literally). We have the freedom to eat what we want, we have the freedom to vote, we have the freedom to practice the religion of our choice, and most of all, we have the freedom of speech.

I love American because our veterans have given us the freedom to have ability to watch the sunrise and set where ever we want in the this beautiful country the U.S.A.

That you can really do anything you want if you put your mind and back into it One year ago we opened a gift store in the worst economies since the depression and we are doing great and have given jobs to over a dozen employees! Thanks to Root for making great products, they are one of our best sellers!

Favorite thing about America? Hmmm....we take so much for granted, but I still have to say we have many freedoms here that are not available to citizens of other countries...even the freedom to complain about what we DON'T like! LOL! So FREEDOM would be my favorite thing about America!

OH! I also love the diverse way we celebrate holidays in America...especially with the winter holidays approaching, it is a joy to see that people from all faiths are often united in showing joy and appreciation during the season of thanks, and of giving...it is uplifting to observe that, though the economy is struggling, and individuals are struggling as well, still families and communities are seen pulling together to support the needy among them. This, I think, is the true spirit of the season...and I have noticed it seems even more common since we have been struggling economically. Maybe it has opened the eyes of many that being economically disadvantaged is not just because someone is "lazy" or other negative attribute...often it is outside circumstances which lead folks to financial trouble. It is good to note that the American people are so often willing to help each other when times are rough.

These are fantastic! I am proud to be American right along with you awesome people. And you can be more specific, for instance, in my American life, I loved taking vacations at the Jersey shore. I would never discredit freedoms of any kind. But more the simple pleasures I try to stay thankful for as well. I love that as an American I am free to live a quiet and peaceable life.

Oh yeah, and Thanksgiving, that's one of my all-time favorite American things : )

I am proud to be an American because in bad economical times we bond together as one big family taking our lives to the upmost importance. In other countries they tend not to take life precious. They want to kill instead of live.

The best part of living in America lies in the pride and remembrance of the men and women who made this country what it is today. Not only our forefathers, but those that are still guarding us, and fighting to keep us free.

The great thing about our country is the loyalty and faithfulness of our citizens, whether or not we agree on politics, religion, war or peace, black or white, we all know we would not want to live anywhere else. 9-11-01 proved it.

I love it that American was founded on Christian ideas and principles. I know that is not a popular opinion at this time, but is one that I am proud of, and knowing that my ancestors were willing to give their lives for that belief. I don't think that I knew true patriotism until I met my husband. When it comes to my "American Experience," well, he is what comes to my mind first. He spent 8 years in the United States Marine Corps, I was with him for 5 of those years, and he was deployed 4 times during that time. We shared the kind of old fashioned love story that you would think only could be read in a book. When times got really rough and I didn't hear from him for days or even weeks what comforted me the most was thinking of how he was protecting our country. I have never felt so proud. I know that I will never know a greater love or a greater man. He will forever be my hero.
