It's been a labor of love and at long last we have finally pulled the veil off the big surprise!
Root proudly introduces American Experiences – fragrances to celebrate the different regions of our unique country. Crafted in America’s heartland, each American Experiences candle salutes the contributions of American workers, time-honored craftsmen and uncompromising artisans who have helped forge our national character. Each beautiful label was painted by Michelle Mospens a commissioned American watercolor artist local to the Medina/Akron area.
Sandy from Chippewa Lake!
Congratulations to Sandy and a big thank you to everyone who took the time to comment. I noticed a lot of the comments are to take care better care of themselves and get more exercise. I say way to go and keep it up! I too have resolved to do the same because when I'm low on energy, life just isn't much fun. In fact, just yesterday I started in on a weight loss challenge with a group of friends. So whatever motivates you stick with it. Have you tried the Seeking Balance Energize candle yet? It's good one to burn for a pick-me-up and to bring in a little brightness to your day. We need it now becuase here comes the winter weather.
Keep checking back for more give-aways, tips and trends from me and the rest of the crew at your favorite candle company, Root Candles!
Happy New Year! Hopefully it's off to a great start. Have you spent the first week thinking of what you can resolve to do this year? Is there going to be a difference in your life? Is 2012 going to be yours and you're grabbing it by the horns? I hope so!
2011 was a great year for us as Root, but we need to top that! Because of you our internet had the best November ever! Because of you our internet had the best December ever! So thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you! So that's in the past and here we are together in a brand new start.
I love the freshness and opportunity of the new year, can you tell?
And we've got some new freshness for you Root Candle lovers out there. This spring we have 3 dynamite fragrances to tickle your noses.
First up we have Coriander Musk
Citrus top notes of fresh lemon, lime, zesty orange and juicy grapefruit with slight melon & eucalyptus followed by ozonic middle with lavender & jasmine floral notes with dry down of exotic musk, oakmoss & amber vanilla.
The phrase that's going around here is it's the "sexy man candle" LOL!
Next we have Blackberry Mango
Ripe, sugared blackberry with sweet pineapple and mango nectar blended with macintosh apple, mandarin orange, white peach finished with bright plumeria blossoms and end on notes of sweet pea and sheer musk.
Bright. Juicy. Berry.
And to top it all off, Lavender Vanilla
Glistening lavender bursts with sparkling mandarin and clementines, blended with precious hyacinth, sweet pea, classic Jasmine petals & white peony.
My new favorite. Anytime is appropriate for this candle. I'm telling you, you will love it!
Now - how about a GIVEAWAY???
In the comments below I want to know a couple things.
1. Where are you? What neighborhood are you from? I'm so curious to know how far this blog is going.
- and -
2. What is one of your resolutions for the New Year?
We'll pick an entry at random and let you know the winner next week. And in case you must try these new fragrances now, you can get them right here.
The weekend is almost here - enjoy yours! ~ Meghan
I was back on the air today on the Cleveland morning show Good Company. It was super fun! "I'm not a candle expert, I just play one on TV". I often say that to my boss and he cracks up! I have done it a few times now and have become pretty comfortable with it all. I'm a born to ham it up.
With the Christmas season upon us my plan was to show some clever ideas of how to add more dazzle to your holiday decor. Cold weather months are the best for enjoying your candles, and adding a personal touch to your decorations brings out the personality of your home. And what guests wouldn't love that?

Here are some snapshots from the table set-up. I do have the advantage of having the 22,000 sq. ft. store at my disposal when it comes to preparing for the show, but my hope is that you find a new way to display the great stuff you already have. In my opinion, keep it simple. Find one thing that you love and go with that. But if you feel the need to fill every room in your house, more power to you!
